Since you need at least one 85-rated player to complete this, why not go for a goalkeeper? Not just any goalkeeper, though — Hugo Lloris at 87 overall — in order to give you some wiggle room with the rest of your squad. Now yes, we still need a Netherlands representative. For that, we chose the 85-rated Matthijs de Ligt. And while those two cards together will run you a combined 25,000 thousand or so, the rest of your squad can then be completed with nine players that are all 83 overall. While the below price may make you double-take, there are a couple of different ways you can view this card. We don’t expect to see full-on Netherlands-based squads out there, but coughing up a relatively low five figures to land a winger with these attributes shouldn’t be dismissed outright. Here’s what we’ve come up with.
Cody Gakpo: ~25,000 – 27,500 Coins
Once again, there are no chemistry requirements for this one, which is why you’ll notice the likes of Partey and Ndidi are technically out of position. De Ligt not only checks off the Netherlands requirement but satisfies one of the two 85-rated player requirements as well. For the other, we suggest you go with a goalkeeper. For what it’s worth, each of those 85-rated players will run you about 8,000 coins. After that, you should be able to fill out the rest of your squad for no greater than 1,900 coins per player—and mostly within the 800-900 range. Lastly, it helps that because of the two 85-overall players, you’re able to get away with including a healthy handful of 83-overall players. Take advantage of that whenever you can.
